Bio
Ava is a fourth year undergraduate student at UC Davis working on a B.S. in Cognitive Science (Neuroscience Emphasis) and a B.A. in Philosophy (Pre-Medicine Emphasis). In collaboration with Dr. John Nadra, Ava is primarily working on an EEG-MRI study about the deployment of willed attention through peripheral vision. She’s interested in the functional neuroanatomy of willed attention and determining the neural correlates involved in free attentional decisions. After graduation, she hopes to attend an MD/PhD program and eventually work in medical neuroscience research. When she’s not working in the lab, she’s often found rock climbing or walking backwards as a Tour Guide for UC Davis.
